5. Sin is blotted out
“I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.”
6. Sin is swept away
“I have blotted out your transgressions like a cloud and your sins like mist: return to me, for I have redeemed you.”
7. Sin is forgotten
” And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
The church I attend is talking about forgiveness this month, and thought I would share some of the points made on Sunday. This is something I struggle with, it is hard for me to grasp that no matter what I do God forgives me.
Let me leave you with this, Satan knows your name but calls you by your sin, but God knows your sin but calls you by your name.
1. No More debt
“A Maskil of David. Blessed is the one whose Transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.”
Psalm 32: 1-2
2. Sin is covered
“Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.”
3. Sin is hidden
“Behold, it was for my welfare that I had great bitterness; but in love you have delivered my life from the pit of destruction, for you have cast all my sins behind your back.”
4. Sin is removed
“as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.”
The Half Marathon training has begun. Here is my progress so far starting 12/28
12/28 Ran 5.02 miles in 53:43
had’t really ran long distances in a while that this 5 miles was a struggle but I made it.
12/29 Ran 3.16 in 32:36
the big hill back to my apartment complex kills me
12/30 Intermediate pilates class and ran 1 mile on the treadmill
12/31 Ran 2.23 in 22:31
1/1 Ran 2.14 in 21:37
First run of the year!
1/5 Ran 6 miles on the treadmill in 60 minutes
Wish the 6 miles was outside, I think running on the treadmill is death, but I survived it. It was just a very long hour.
Couldn’t go to my pilates class on Thursday. Was planning to rest Friday. Wish I had time to run Saturday because I was stuck running on the treadmill today because of the rain.
I sometimes feel like I workout or run so I can be like someone or for selfish reasons like to look good. But I really should do it because I enjoy it. As I train for this half marathon I know I am running it with my friend, and I don’t want to come into trying to run faster than her. I just want to try and compete myself, and do better than what I think I can do.
Here is some motivation for me and you as I start the half marathon training.
